A ten-minute exercise for business owners
The Delegation Audit
List what fills a typical week, then sort each task into one of four columns. Most owners find that less than a third of their week truly needs them. Here’s how to find your own number.
List a typical weekLook back at last week’s diary and inbox. Add every recurring task and roughly how many hours it takes.
Sort each taskPick a column, and mark anything that drains your energy. Be honest: “I’m faster at it” doesn’t mean only you can do it.
See your numberYour results update as you go: how much of your week needs you, and what the rest is costing you.
Use your charge-out rate, or what your time earns when it’s spent on client work. Synergy Assist support starts from £38 an hour.
